For generations, United Way has brought together businesses, donors, human service agencies and volunteers to tackle problems such as homelessness, hunger, feelings of isolation and despair and providing opportunities to people with disabilities.
Birmingham Free Clinic
Birmingham Free Clinic welcomes all patients without health insurance - providing primary and acute medical care, medication access, medical and social services, case management and insurance navigation services to individuals with a focus on continuity, prevention and education. ALL SERVICES ARE AT NO COST TO ANY PATIENT.

Memory Clinic - Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC)
The Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) performs and coordinates Alzheimer Disease related clinical and research activities and is a core source of support (e.g., resources, patients, tissue, expert consultation for research, clinical and training activities) regionally and nationally. The Wellness Pavilion at the Homewood Community Engagement Center is a project of Pitt's School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. We are excited to help make health and wellness services more accessible in Homewood and the surrounding communities via interactive educational sessions, clinical services and special events and programming. All services are student-led, faculty-supervised and free of charge.
